Root battery problem

Hello my lg ally is rooted and running velocity 1.1

Every time I try to use the maps app my phone shuts off and I loose all remaining battery power please help

Seems to be a lot of people having battery issues with their Ally's lately. Guess we are hitting the point that they are starting to fail

Sorry I have no real suggestions other than uninstall maps, reboot, reinstall. Prob time for a new battery if that doesn't help. I am leaning toward battery but strange that it only does it on one app (although it is very GPS CPU and DATA intensive so maybe it stresses the battery more)
