Help battery problems on android 2.3

I recently updated my galaxy s from 2.2 to 2.3 via samsung keis, everything was fine on 2.2 yet now when i charge my phone to 100% battery within seconds it turns to 85% is there any way to rectify this problem as so the battery charges down normally from 100%, cheers :)
 
If you leave it on charge for a while after it is fully charged it seems to start discharging. plug it back in and it will go back to near full.
 
Didnt say there is no problem.
Lots of people (me included find battery life is much worse now.
 
I dont think the battery life has gotten any worse (though still pretty bad) just thought the battery wasnt charging to its maximum capacity :)
 
Like some other people who have updated to 2.3 I've seen quite an improvement in battery life compared to 2.1 or 2.2

With same kind of usage the battery life is nearly double.
 
I lost 30% charge within 1 hour and 30 minutes since upgrading to 2.3.3. Worst mistake ever upgrading to this. My mobile phone has suddenly just become a phone. Unacceptable imo
