Root Battery probs with Slider. Suggestions?

My gf has an Optimus Slider and I have to post here since NO one posts on the Slider forum anymore so hopefully someone knows a little about the phone. She has it rooted, cwm, a custom rom, and an applied Ics theme. The big problem is no matter what, before or after all that, it's had problems with keeping a charge all day. Only lasts like 5-7 hours or so and she doesn't even use it for anything besides Facebook and Kik messenger. Most of the time on Wifi. Can anyone throw me a suggestion for improving battery life? Besides Juice Defender. Already tried that.
 
My wife's slider was almost that bad. It definitely got better after running mobster's ROM and manually controlling 3g. But the battery life on the slider pretty much sucks. The main reason I picked up the Rise for her. The only suggestions I have are keeping 3g to a minimum, screen brightness lower, and sync off. After all that she was getting a days worth of battery (most of the time, lol), charging every night.
