Battery Question

Today my note4 turned off completely. I was browsing the net, had 78% battery and suddenly the phone went black and wouldn't turn on. Called verizon and they tried a bunch of things and nothing worked. So they said they'd send me a new phone, but I asked them what if it is just a battery issue then the new phone wouldn't matter. So I examined the battery and told her it had purple x's on it. So my question is, can someone with a working phone tell me what color the x's are on your battery? IT wasn't around any water at all, so I'm assuming that its the correct color, but Im just not 100% sure and they didnt know the answer.

I presume that any color x on your battery means water damage. It sucks because although the S5 is waterproof the Note 4 is not. Still... most of my batteries end up with markings yet still work just fine.View attachment 59542

I'd try factory resetting your phone. Sometimes a clean install can iron out some glitches from those production units.

My phone wont turn on at all. NO Led flahes or anything. I had my phone on me all day at work. Im never ever around any sort of liquid. It would literally have been impossible to have water damage today.

Verizon today told me that the purple x's are normal and that something is wrong with the phone not the battery. Sending me a new one. So I'm pretty happy.

You should buy a backup battery case for it.Then can run more times for the cellphone.
