Help Battery saving ideas?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on increasing my Samsung vibrant battery life. I am currently running Team Whiskeys 1.3.1 Bionix V and my battery life is not draining like crazy but I would like to see better. I do realize that smartphones burns up a butt load of energy but my friends Iphone 4 lasts for a crazy amount of time and I am pretty jealous. But just a quick question first, Does the Samsung's version of 2.2 Froyo have a longer Battery life span than my Rom that I am using now? Does anyone have any information about what launcher to use that helps conserve energy? Any applications or Techniques? I know the basics:

*Screen time out to 15 seconds

* WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, Auto sync off, Brightness lowered, Ect.

*Kill unnecessary apps

*kill Unneeded services

*Dark Wallpapers

I am using Juice Defender with ultimate juice, No Auto task killers, Set CPU to min 400 MHz max 800 MHz and Screen off: 200 min and 400 max.

I clean Cache Daily.

That is pretty much What I try to conserve battery but like I said but like I said before my friend uses his Iphone 4 and gets great battery life even if he keeps Bluetooth and WiFi on where ever he goes! (I am jealous!)

Thank you for your help :)

Here are some tips that I have collected along my android journey:

1. Don't make a habit of manually killing apps/services, it's bad for Android. Read this article to understand why. Most of the time the system can manage things quite well.

2. Don't use widgets, I know they're handy but most of them are only for polling for information, which means they're constantly causing more of a battery drain. If you use apps that need to be refreshed, turn refresh off and refresh manually when you launch the app. There's no need in having several apps running and refreshing while you're sleeping.

3. Turn window animations off, all of that eye candy has to use more battery power than necessary.

4. Set your screen timeout to 1 minute or less.

5. Change your launcher/home app to something that is more resource friendly. The lighter home replacement apps are the best because they don't require as much in the way of system resources.

I hope this helps.

I'm running the same Bionix mod and I was wondering the same thing about how to get better battery life. I just rooted and flashed the ROM earlier today, so I don't have a good feel for how battery life was affected just yet. I will chime in again in a few days to let you know once I more time with the ROM.
