Help Battery still discharges when powered down

I have a strange thing happening with my battery. It's happened three times now. I've powered down my phone at the end of the day with a full, or nearly full battery. In the morning I power it on and notice the battery has drained to 50% or lower. This is with the phone powered down.

Anyone have this experience?

This morning was the third time it's happened in bout two months of usage. The phone had nearly a full charge last night when I powered it down. I woke up and powered up to a battery reporting 40% charge.

Not sure what's happening here.

You do know that when you power down it does not completely shut down, it goes into sleep mode, if you want it to completely shut down, make sure you have FastBoot unchecked in your settings. Now that still does not explain why it did drain that much, as I barely use 10% overnight with it off the charger, so you will have to check what is draining your battery.

Not sure why this is happening but I am curious as to why you are turning your phone off every night? If it is to save battery because you don't have a charger or something along those lines I would suggest putting it into Airplane mode every night. That shuts off all the radios and idle battery drain is negligible. Plus in this scenario if you are getting a major battery drain you may be able to look and see what the culprit is.

Menu button > Settings > Power > bottom option is a check box for Fastboot.

50% battery in a low power state is excessive. How long does your battery normally last during the day? My phone uses about 5% overnight, while still on and connected to the net.
