Battery thinks it's dead

I've tried looking through the forum to see if anyone else has had this problem.

I purchased an s6 on Monday. The battery life was bad just like I had read on the reviews. It would last about half a day. When I would plug it into the quick charge adapter that came with it, it would jump to a high number almost instantly which I thought was weird. After a few days of this happening I was curious, waited for it to die, then tried turning it back on again without charging it. Sure enough it turned on with 60% power. It took a few hours after that and it died again. Turned it back on and it said 40%. This kept happening a few times. Took over a day for it to get to the point where it wouldn't turn on again.

Has anyone else had this problem? or have a fix? If the battery life lasts over a day with how often I use the phone I will be very impressed, just need it to not turn off on me.

Looks like a warranty replacement is in order. Take it back to your local carrier's store or initiate a warranty replacement with Samsung.

Return the phone for a brand new one. If you just bought the phone last Monday, you're still in your return/exchange period. This is not a warranty situation, you need a new device.
