Whats yours at? I am on Flat S6 Verizon and always my top 2 users are cell standby and Android System. Is this normal to you guys? also after about 3 hours of normal use off the charge I go down to 82% - 80%
Please chime in and let us know what you're seeing.
I've been having battery issues with my T-Mobile S6 since I got it. I'll go to bed with my battery at 80% and wake up and it's at 15%. I'm not even using it so why is the battery draining like that. I have Bluetooth off and WiFi is off.
My top two battery users seem to be cell standby and Android system.
Cell standby is the phone searching for signal and will consume a lot of battery. There is definitely a difference in antennae signal strength with the S6 compared to my S4. At my home cell standby usage can be as high as 20% with a signal strength of around-115 dBm and at work it rarely hits above 5% with the S6 and the signal strength is around -93 dBm. My S4 was in the 7% range in both locations with -97 dBm in both areas. I can get a full 3 hours more battery life at work than I do at home. On older phones there was a method for updating the PRL that would help the phone better connect with cell towers in common areas but I have no idea how to do update it on a Galaxy phone.
