battery won't charge

My battery won't charge even though it is plugged in to charger. Samsung Galaxy s 3 purchased at Costco one month ago. Verizon.
 
Make sure that the outlet you have the charger plugged into is working. (Plug a lamp or something into it.) Try a different charger. (Most phone chargers these days are interchangeable.) Or the battery could be bad. Or the phone could be broken. We can't have enough information here to point you to a single definite answer.
