Battery

I'm coming from the S7 Edge and am having terrible battery life with my new S8. Shouldn't this battery be better than the S7? I have tried everything I could think of so far to make it better but no luck so far. If I can't figure this out soon, I'm going back to the S7 (even though I love the S8, I need a battery to last a full day on only moderate use). My only requirement is that I must leave the bluetooth on all the time.

I just noticed that my 'Exchange Email' is taking up 23% of battery usage. What settings should I change to make this better?

Any ideas will be appreciated.

I don't use Exchange, so haven't any experience, but if it's using that much power it's either trying to download a vast amount of data (so check settings for how much mail it keeps on the phone), so polling constantly to see whether there is new mail (so check sync or refresh settings).

It's not obvious to me that the battery life should be better than an S7E (especially if new - battery life usually takes a few days to settle). But it sounds like you have one identified problem to deal with there.

I reinstalled the email account and we'll see what happens. I'm hoping this fixes the problem because this is really an awesome phone.
Thanks for the help.

The battery is smaller in the S8 to the S7e, so after it has settled down, i wouldn't expect it to be better either way, probably on a par.
