how many hours does it take for my phone to charge via USB. I've used it while its charged. Would that decrease batt life?

Using your phone during it's charging cycle should not decrease your battery life. It will increase the time it takes to achieve a full charge however. The time it takes to charge your phone will depend on the model of phone and the output of your charger. I hope you enjoy AF.
