Help Battery

Is the battery really terrible on all s5's?

Ive read on alot of places online and there is hundreds if not thousands of people complaining that the s5's battery is draining really quickly..

I converted from HTC that i was more than happy with battery performance to buy an s5 and i can say im not alone in this but the battery life is abismal going from 100% fully charged to around 80% mark within an hour of normal usage maybe a game for 30mins and internet for 30mins.. On my old HTC it was nowhere near this bad and if the s5 of mine is used for longer the drain is constant and in my opinion very quick.

Anybody any tips? i have done loads and followed lots of opinions online and theres just no change to the battery.. I let it drain to like 10% then fully charge to 100% before reusing and have tried all sorts.

Very disappointing for what is a quite brilliant phone but im kind of regretting not getting the HTC One M8 now.

I've been very pleased with the battery on my S5. Holds the charge well. I finished one day below 60%, but that was one of the first days I owned it. Seems better than my S4 so far, but I've only owned it a week. I thought the 1080P screen would eat battery power faster than my S4, but so far that does not seem to be the case.

I am beginning to wonder if some of us have bad batteries. My LG L90 could go all day and had a long lasting battery so I am not used to this but fortunately I keep a portable battery in my purse in case I am not going to be by a car or electric charger. Mary

I'm at the end of my 3rd day off charger, just checked and it is showing 51% remaining.

A little background, I control the internet with MacroDroid.
Screen locked, internet off.
Screen unlocked, internet on.

However, I have used it many times and purposely left the data and wifi both on all day long.
Off charger at 0500 and on charger at 2200 with 48% for one day's use. I don't think that is bad at all.

I leave my 4G and wifi off and only turn it on when I need to use it. I wish I could get battery life like that. Maybe I should pop into Verizon and see if I have a bad battery. Mary
