The BBC weather app appears in portrait format on my android tablet. That is not a problem but then all other screens are stuck in portrait until I reboot the tablet

The BBC weather app is always portrait only. I cant test this as I'm not in the UK but I suspect that the app turns off auto rotation in androids settings, so you need to turn it on again manually after using the app (or reboot as you have been doing). Hopefully someone will suggest to the BBC that the app turns it back on when it is exited (or maybe it does but you are leaving it running?)
