Help beaming app data from one device to another

this goes back to my attempts to get the xfinity remote control app to work, the problem is the auto rotation locks making a button that would allow you to continue not visible on the screen, if i could rotate the screen it would work but the app locks the rotation, so either i could change screen resolution so everything is tiny and it would fit or i was thinking i could beam the app and data, i tried to do it but it didnt work, it may be because i have my head up my arse as i havent ever tried the beaming function til i tried this, or it may be too much data?? if i could get the app data from my evo to my nexus it would work, the app itself will work, i just cant hit that "continue" button because its off screen..i am now officially obsessed, i remember a program i think that allows you to view your device on your desktop?? could i install it this way?? i dont rember what the free app was or what its limitations were, i am sure there is a way to do this and with some guidance from the good people here i will be switing and recording programs from my nexus before this night is out
