Root BeATS aUDIO bRICKING!!!!

Hey all, just an FYI, I installed beats audio on my cell and my sons galaxy rush, and it bricked both phones. The rush is a POS anyway, so I just got him another one. My phone on the other hand has a ton of files on it, and its mine. I cant boot into CWM, or anything, stuck on boot loop. Im not an ADB master so I dont of any method other than that to fix the issue. Im going to try and reinstall CWM and replace rom and see if that works.

Did you try booting into recovery by holding down the volume down button while booting? I would try that first.

This MIGHT help if you can get into download mode(which I hope you can) and if it does.. im sorry to say but you are probably going to loose anything saved on the phone.. the SD should be safe.. but don't quote me :P

If CWM boots and you can get to it, you don't need to panic. But yes installing CWM again if you can't boot, try to get it into Download Mode and find a way to flash recovery to it then. Then flash rom. Boot. Enjoy. I guess lol. That's the reason why you need to install CWM and then IMMEDIATELY MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP WITH IT. lol

Also, might I recommend just a simple audio equalizer as they will do far more than Beats Audio ever will, and far better. So try not to use Beats. Especially since it seems to so often brick phones.

Beats is pretty good on the One V and other HTC phones. It's not meant for phones other than HTC so when you try to fudge it onto another phone it's not great and causes issues, including bricks

I got it to work on my Elite when I still had it. But that was when I first rooted it. But that one time and only that time. It seemed to work and I thought I could tell a difference but that was probably just a mind set. I read somewhere in another thread that it was a mixture of unfortunately things that didn't allow it to work. But I mean seriously what's not wrong with this phone? Lol. I've moved on the the Evo V and if given the opportunity would highly recommend it to other members.

I have a .zip file from xda you flash in recovery and it puts the beats audio files in the right places and I believe it has xLoud on it too and I noticed a difference in sound but I don't get an icon in my statusbar lol.

im still a noob, but i had installed on my elite. worked well before a stupid move made by me bricked it. Thanks to all you guys in these forums i fixed the problem(Unbricking your Sprint or Virgin Mobile USA phone using official tools and dll and bin files).

good to see you were able to recover from beats. it can be a killer if you dont know exactly what you are doing with it. and to be honest,as artine and others have stated there are better alternatives that work better and no bricking.

It's technically Download Mode. I believe enabling Diag mode with your MSL is just required by the program LGNPST and a few others as a permissions reason for them to function properly.

beats is an absolute mess when it comes to "non-sanctioned" devices. I soft-bricked my Toshiba THRiVe tablet a few times with it. PLZ don't fool around with it.
I fully endorse & recommend Music Volume EQ in the Google play store. Enhances audio like a friggin' champ.

A few times? You were having too much fun bricking it. :P

apparently. I absolutely LOVE spending gobs of money on tech devices only to render them crippled & lifeless. Haha!
there's actually a couple of methods. One is a flashable zip file, the other is an apk installer.

The flashable zip from xda that includes xloud (total bullcrap) actually works tho. I've flashed it several times after 3 differemt rom installs. Sound is completely better but no beats icon in the statusbar.
