Beautiful Widgets and Fancy Widget

I've noticed these 2 apps making a bit of a stir recently. Anybody try them both, have any insights into the difference between them (aside from BW being free and FW costing a $1.82). I take it they both try to recreate the Sense UI. Any info?

Fancy Widget is basically the clock that comes with the Sense UI and is free.

Is there a reason why I cant download Beautiful Widgets in NZ? It keeps coming up with "network error".
