Beautiful Widgets Update

Thanks for the response Neil. I downloaded ES Task Manager yesterday, only so I could selectively kill tasks easily (for instance, ShopSavvy was showing that it was accounting for 2% of my battery use, even though I haven't opened it in a couple of weeks, so I wanted to kill that), but I don't have it set to automatically kill anything (to my knowledge) and I never use "kill all," so it didn't occur to me that the Task Manager could be the problem.

So, just now I put Beautiful Widgets on the "Ignore" list and powered off my Droid. When I powered back on, the temperature notification had disappeared again, so I don't think it's that.

Any other ideas anyone?
 
I downloaded BW before the last update and I absolutely love it. However, since the last update, my clock & weather have not been updating! I still love the widget, skin availabilty, etc. so I dont plan on never using it again. I really want to fix this, anyone else having problems like this?

I have been communicating with the dev and he is very responsive, we just havent pinpointed the cause. So I wanted to come on here and see if anyone else was experiencing this. I dont have a task killer, so I know its not that.

Do you happen to know how I can get a copy of the original beautiful widgets? I bought the new one for my N1 but I like the way the Desire HTC clock widget looks and they took that one away....

I'm curious if beautiful widgets is worth it for the eris? From my understanding it just emulates the sense UI.
 
Hey guys, thought I'd share a weather skin I created today to complement kalagas' BW theme. It's not a perfect clone of the numbering style he uses for his clock numbers, but I think it's a better fit than any of the other weather skins that were available. I was able to unzip the file from the link above and place the folder inside /data/beautifulwidgets/wskins on my SD card then select it from within the widget settings.

I'll be submitting it to levelupstudio, but I wasn't sure how long it would take to show up for public consumption. Yes, I am "Cupertino" -- thought it sounded better than esmith818! This is the first thing I have ever customized for Android, aside from rooting my Droid and loading the current froyo build. ;)
 
Hey guys I have the samsung epic, and I installed the BW, but cannot get the forcast animations to dlownload nor the skins. I was searching the web, and there was a review and they posted a link to DL it. Am I to assume that downloading of skins and the forcast animations is only available for paid versions of BW? If so, then I don't mind paying for it. If that is not the case, how can I get the skins? (that last question seem to have a double meaning :D)

Confused - BW is a paid app. I am not aware of a free version... I use it, love it..
