Help Beautiful Widgets

I downloaded and paid for Beautiful widgets and Animated Beautiful Widgets but can't seem to get them to work on my tab. They are asking me to register my device? I have them on my Galaxy II and love them. Can't seem to be able to download any skins or set it up on my home screen. what am I doing wrong?

BW should work just fine on your Tab. I have BW installed on mine and it works, and I have it installed on my Nexus S phone as well. Both devices are using the same google account which may make a difference.

After you download it and install it, you need to drag the widget you choose to the homescreen of your choice. It usually then asks you to setup the widget and then "apply and save" the settings. Nothing to it. I've never been asked to register my device or anything like that - it just works.

Perhaps you can describe what you're doing in exact terms?
 
bfksc, I am just trying to use the weather and clock widgets as well as animated wallpaper. It works just great on my phone but I can't seem to be able to download any wallpaper or clock-weather icons to use on the Tab. I am using the same google account as my phone. (I only have 1 account). I can provide you with a step by step process if you would like. I get to the point where it says it accepts my google ID etc. but asks for a device name type. Really strange. Please keep in contact I am sure with your help, I can solve this problem. If you like you can PM me if I am wasting resources on the thread.

I'm not sure I understand about registering with BW? I've used them on many devices and never had to "register", just had to purchase the app first. Do you have the app installed on your tab but you can't get the widgets to work? Or, can you simply not download the app?
 
It is installed on my Tab, I just can't get it to work. As I mentioned previously, when I go and try to download skins etc. this is when the identifying of device kicks in.

What might be happening here is the BW has what is called "device limiting" DRM. Meaning you have to pay separately for each device you install it on.

You best bet would be to contact BW support through the Android Market/Google Play, or their website and ask them if this is what is happening.

I did pay again for it to be on my Tab. that is what is confusing me. I have apid twice for the app. Once for my phone (on which it works perfectly) and once for my tab (on which it doesn't appear to be working) although, when I click on the widget icon, it shows I have the standard skin only and won't allow me to download additional weather or homescreen skins to my tab. when I try to download, it brings up my google id etc. then asks for a device code/number. Very very wierd.

Hmm, that's unfortunate. Sounds like you are a bit stuck with their system not working correctly.

BW has a support forum here: Beautiful Widgets / Discussion Area - LevelUp Studio Support

But I think you could also email them and ask them about your specific case. Hopefully they will respond quickly and be helpful but I havent used BW in a long time. I don't know their reputation these days.

Please feel free to let us know if they help sort things out for you. I'm very curious how they handle support :)

Also if there is anything else we can do let us know :D
 
Interesting that you had to pay for it twice. I've installed BW on several devices and only paid once. Only app I had to pay twice for was Swift Key. Once for my phone and then for my tablets (but I think that was because they're two different apps). Agree with ALP, shoot BW an email. I imagine they'll be pretty speedy and helpful.

Same here, you only need to pay once if you use the same google account on several devices. I must admit though, I've never bothered skinning BW as I like it the way it is...
