And last night i stopped getting texts. Figured.. time to upgrade.

So I upgraded to 3.5.0.1 last night with the latest PRI and radios.. only to realize.. its from dec 21, 2010!

So my question is, are there any significant advantages to upgrading to GB and the new roms? Looks like Fresh is done releasing roms :( I found fresh 3.3 to be pretty much rock solid, sprint towers just decided to stop sending me PRLs, lol.

All opinions appreciated!

I've been using fresh roms since january 2010 with my htc hero. I've tried others and they always really super sucked. I'm sure things have changed, though and other devs have released solid roms.

My real question in this post though is whether there are big advantages to using a 2.3 GB rom like King's, or are we talking merely moderate bat and cpu performance? I really have NO idea.

fresh 4.0 is based on evo gb update leaked. So with that being said, there will be a bunch of evo sense based roms running gb. gb seems a little faster and snappier. I would give it a try. Fresh is always a great ron but since he is getting married he has lost a little time as a dev so... wait and see or try something else but always nandroid

Seems like you been with that version for a reason...you like stability...its rock solid, his last stable 3.5 is just that...stick with stability! Anything gingerbread right now will have issues regardless of claims of full stability, because there's too many variables with certain ROMs (hardware, kernel, personal knowledge on fixes..) updates, nightlies....

Yea in 2 days now with 3.5.0.1 I don't see any stability issues. I have seen some issues with chompsms with sending failed a bit, but not sure if its related to the rom (I doubt it). Otherwise yes, stability is key. If I get into my car and bluetooth is failing, I will not be a happy camper.

I'll look forward to the 4.0 rom from fresh. Gotta hand it to the guy, his roms made me love smart phones.

3.5.0.1 is very stable. I ran it for a few weeks and had no issues. Now I am hooked on GB roms so Fresh is sitting idle on my pc now. :)

I got the beta but it wasnt a big upgrade, if I were the OP I'd just flash some of the newer ROMS out, there's plenty to chose from...I jumped from Fresh into CM, and now into Decks rom. Loving them way better than Fresh.
