Help Before I send it back.........

Karen2012

Lurker
I had the Galaxy S2 that started having issues. I got the S3, thinking it would be a better package. It is, with the exception of email. I use Outlook & connect to Comcast servers to receive it. I had no issues with the S2 connecting. But the S3 tells me "cannot safely connect with Comcast servers" & stops.

Is there a fix for this, or is this phone going back? :(

Sorry Karen, I don't have a fix for you but I will tell you that the e-mail works perfect on this thing!!!!!!!!!! So it's a setting or something easy like that. But I can assure you it works perfect and or better than the S2 e-mail did.

hopefully somone an help you. Don't give up yet

This might be related to setting the SSL (Secure something something) option in the account setup by accident. Go back and check the S3 account setup against your Outlook settings... item by item.

This is most likely an SSL or 'log-in required' setting that needs to be adjusted on your phone. Assuming you have access to other things on the WWW from the phone, it's not likely anything else. Definitely not a defective phone.

Call your carrier, they can walk you through getting it setup, it is a setting that you are missing and no fault of the phone. I would also get the correct settings from Comcast.

The phone functions properly, the settings are not configured correctly. Like suggested above, let your carrier walk you through this.

I love when people want to send a phone back/switch phones over the littlest stuff, especially user error and stuff that can be fixed.

Check to make sure SSL is off.
