Beginer: create chess board

Hi, I'm new on that. Which are the different ways to create an app with a chess board and put the pieces on it? Classes of android graphics, unity...? Which do you think it is the best option and how would you do it?

I think Unity is the best and fastest option, but you need to know something about C#.
