Help Being blinded by Nougatcs dropdown notification screen!

So for all the things i absolutely love about Nougat on my LG V20, i am absolutely in HATE WITH IT & its blinding black or white background dropdown notification screen! I have worked at night for years as an unpaid astronomer as well as doing paid nighttime jobs as various types of security including guarding & bouncing - all of which require excellent night vision. And that means i cannot use any device that has stupid contrast swings such as ultra black on pure white like the latest version of Android's noti.screen! And the "turn everything a disgusting shade of puke-orange" Comfort View that is supposed to reduce the blue to ease eye strain is a pile of crap for solving the issues i'm talking about. And robbing their users of a choice or the ability to set the background of the notification drop-down is worse than obnoxious, it is arrogant of Google to think users are just going to take this neutering of features we once had to make our way devices less convenient & less usable! Because of this pure white background being locked on on half of the Nougat-brand of the dropdown while the rest is ultra-black means i cannot dare touch my phone if i am working at night because no matter how well i customized my V10 to allow me to use it at night without messing up my vision, now that i switched to a V20 i can't do a darn thing about the pure white of the drop down blinding me & risking letting someone slip by me or sneak up on me in the dark of the night! Brilliant, Android! That shows your developers spend too much of their lives inside with tech & zero time out in the world where tech doesn't reach, because THIS WILL GET ME KILLED! So unless i can turn the white backgrounds back to black (without screen invert because that just turns all my blacks white & solves nada!) then i am officially going to ditch my Android OS devices for those that care about users rights.

Well it is kind of bright.

I'll look for an app for that but I think there are apps that can filter screen color for night vision on Android devices.

As an Astronomer have you run into any apps that could identify a star if you point your camera at it?
