being forced to mobile webpage of cnn.com

been playing with the browser and every time i try to view cnn.com in its full glory the browser will automatically bring up m.cnn.com no matter how i type in cnn.com. anyone to fix this force to mobile webpage thing?

Pardon me if Im wrong, but don't all websites that have a mobile version use that when it see's incoming mobile traffic?

not sure, but when i was at verizon store one droid went to m.cnn.com and one went to cnn.com so there is something out there that causes this.

Any update on this? Where is the setting to only view full pages? Our droids can handle the full page, so why lose the functionality???

Did you ever go to m.cnn.com yourself? Or did you go to cnn.com for the first time on your DROID and it appeared mobile?

I just tried cnn.comhttp://www.cnn.com, and the browser redirected to m.cnn.com.

There is a link at the bottom of the page to view the regular site, but I was curious if there is a setting, like in most mobile browsers, to always load the full site.

I did not create this thread, so I could care less about a specific site like cnn, instead I would like all my sites loaded in full.

The site is detecting the type of browser you are using to determine which site you visit. Currently there is no way to spoof the Android browser to make it the full site and not the mobile site. It is even more annoying when the full site link is not on the mobile site.

Hopefully, when FireFox releases their mobile browser for the Android, they will have a fix for this.

Try Dolphin Browser, you can change your "User Agent" to desktop mode, and you can view the normal websites instead of the mobile websites.
