Hi guys - just got introduced to the Android concept first hand (IE, actually having a phone instead of just poking around in stores and watching commercials) when I got sick of my refurbished LG Rumor Touch through Virgin Mobile (ugh) and went and got an LG Optimus (I named it Prime, hur hur) through Sprint.

Today, I swapped out for an EVO. And oh lawdy, I love it.

What advice do you guys have for apps, and ways to increase battery life?
And what the crap are things like PVMtpServiceStart and is it possible to make it stop auto-launching?

If my terminology is newbie, well.. I am a newbie! So I can't help it!
 
Hello. Evo 4g having probs with Data Connection to Sirium XM and can't connect Blue tooth plantronics since the Sprint techs did a hard re-boot yesterday. Frustrating......

Sounds like it might be prudent to return the phone to the Sprint tech's and tell them to fix it right... ;)
