Belkin ClearScreen Overlay

Dyspoid

Lurker
Hey guys, I have had my Galaxy S2 for a while, and I've only noticed a few problems recently. So far, I'm hoping they're being caused by the screen protector, so if any of you guys have seen anything similar, could you help me out?

I'm pretty much seeing a general bluriness, and images don't appear to be as clear. It looks as though different colours are more distinct, rather than meshing together, and creating a clear image. This is especially evident on the live wallpaper with the windmills for me, though it is strange, because as I change screens, the bluriness moves with that part of the image.

Secondly, when I am on screens that have a predominant colour, it seems as though I can see feint lines running down?

HELP IS APPRECIATED :D

the SGS2 display is amazing, ive not noticed anything like this, not heard of many people with this problem either. if u think its the screen protector, i'd take it off :) i dont think this phone needs a screen protector, the glass is pretty tough, as long as ur reasonably careful with it.. in my opinion, screen protectors only cause more problems :D

Yeah, I've thought it was amazing since I've had it, and I've only just noticed this. I'm assuming it is just the screen protector.

Does the screen really not scratch? I'm awfully careful with my devices, but things DO happen, I worry more about my phone than I do about myself. Mix up of priorities much? :P

I actually dropped my phone the other day - about 10cm - and it scared the pants of me, it's actually part of the reason I hope my screen protector is causing this problem.

Dude, I'm also like you, "I worry more about my phone than I do about myself". But still I haven't put a screen protector on it. Its screen is made of Gorilla Glass, and is pretty tough under normal day-to-day conditions. I have put a Snap on cover though, cause its plasticy body is somewhat fragile.

yeah, it really wont scratch unless u do something severe to it. it'd probably crack before it scratches :D i used an ipod touch for 3 years and although the back was cmpletely scratched, the screen didnt have a mark on it. and i wasnt that careful with it, really. and although the glass is different, i assume gorilla glass is as strong :)

I had a Moto Atrix before I had my SGSII and the Atrix also has gorilla glass. However, there was one noticeable small scratch, and 4-5 hairline scratches on the glass, and it was 2 months old, used VERY gently. My screen protector just came in the mail today, so I put it on... though I personally don't like the feel of the screen protector. The glass feels nice, and the oleophobic coating keeps the finger grease away. My screen protector is already getting pretty grimy...

oleophobic coating keeps the finger grease away. .

actually it doesn`t...:(i had sgp oleophobic screen protector and removed it after 3 days because finger grease was way more visible than without it, not mentioning that after using it for few minutes u could see screen was getting blurred in some places so imho this story that it will prevent finger grease away is just pure bulls**t...

I'm so nervous with my phone, that I have barely touched the screen without the screen protector :P

I've heard stories about the protective qualities of gorilla glass, good AND bad, and it seems kind of unsafe to use my phone without a protector.

I second the grime problem, the protector smudges almost immediately, and it seems as though that is happening UNDER the screen too.

Is anyone else seeing a decrease in image quality, due to the screen protector though?
