Hey there. I was wondering. For those of you that have already received their Droid 2's, could you do a Quadrant and Linpack benchmark for me? Please post your results here.
 
im getting around 1280-1300 with quadrant and linpack i dont do because i dont understand it.
 
Well crap, thats disappointing. I get around 1300 on my Droid X which is still on 2.1. What's happened to the insane performance boosts of 2.2 (FroYo)?

Dude there is only so fast a phone can get..and let me tell you I had a Droid X and this phone is A LOT smoother than the X. Ya the X may be smooth once it gets 2.2 but this phone has no lag what so ever. Oh not to mention I don't know how high the X can get with 2.2 because you do know the hardware is the same in the X and Droid 2.

My result was 1431

I love this phone, I do wish it had a bigger screen (with) a physical keyboard but it's making me quite happy so far. Now give me a phone just like the Droid 2 with a bigger screen and front facing camera and we would have a beast. But for the moment it's doing great!

The girlfriend might be getting D2 so we will see how that does. Looks like it'll kick butt on the graphics stuff.
 
I ran Quadrant right off the bat when I got the Droid 2 and scored 1445, just ran it again 5.5 days later and got 1429.
 
LINPACK:
- MFLOPS: 11.826
- TIME: 7.09 seconds
- Norm Res: 5.68

QUADRANT:
- 1357 (woah!)
- 1421 (ok, let's try this again!)
- 1372 (ok, so it's really good.)
 
Got a 1380 quadrant score yesterday.

The first time I ran it, I got a 1210. Then I ran it a second time and go the 1380.

I have found that quadrant scores really don't mean much in real world performace. My wifes incredible is as snappy and smooth as anything out there and is scores low in the quadrants. I would not get to caught up in it.

Right now I can tell you my SetCPU short bench is around 201ms
 
I always run my tests in batches of 3, since a test from one minute to the next can vary by bit, depending on what's happening on the phone (sync'ing, etc).

This is running AngDroid's Super Clean 2.4.5 ROM with Black Status Bar, Vanilla Android icons, Star Wars boot animation, and Star Wars lock screen sliders.
