Best Android device for game developing?

What is the best Android device for developing games on? I am making a game for many devices and for the first time also for Android. Should I go for the highest selling device (SII or SIII) as a test device?

Any views on this from other developers of Android apps/games?

It would make more sense imo to start supporting the most popular devices and then expand support from there.

But i'm not a developer.

I'd say if you want to develop apps that are not phone specific, use a Nexus.

I would say chanchan is right in this case just because you really don't need to have a specific phone to develop apps on, however, if you were to go with any a Nexus line phone would probably be the best just because it has the most stock version of Android out there.
