Best android music player

Hey guys,

after your opinions on the best android music player. One thing that the iphone has over android IMO, is a great music player. The shuffle is second to none.

I find with all the android players ive used, the "shuffle" or "random" feature is quite hopless, often repeating songs that were just played a few songs ago.

Things i look for in a player is

  • Nice lock screen widgit
  • able to find accutate album art
  • Good "shuffle" generator
Anyone have some recomendations?
 
Poweramp for me. I have mine on 'shuffle all' and never hear the same song in the same session (I have c. 4000 songs).

But 'search' the forums as the question of Music Players comes up a lot ....

Definitely poweramp.
It has many equalizer options, but the main thing was that it played gapless wav files.
I mix with a lot of house music and this excellent program meant I could use my galaxy as an iPod in the car.
A good developer also.

Obviously try before you buy.
 
I'm a Rocket Player fan. The interface is simple, the shuffle feature has never disappointed, and it allows iSyncr to update play counts in my iTunes library. (I use play counts in a smart playlist that selects a random selection of tracks that have not been played within the past 3 weeks. That playlist is among those I sync to my phone using iSyncr automatically each night over WiFi.)
