Best Android Tablet....?

Hi, I am new to forums in general, so I apologize if this is a repeated topic.

I just wanted everyone's thoughts and opinion's....

What is the best Android tablet as far as performance? I do not care about it being "flashy", but I do care about mobility.

Let the "conversation" begin.....:)

That's virtually an unanswerable question. At the end of the day, the best tab is the one that works fr or you. Thus, for example, I have the Acer A500. The Kindle would not work for me though the price is low. Nor would the ipad even though it is more expensive than most tabs.

I understand it comes down to my own "taste".....but as far as performance...what is the best? So it is not "unanswerable"...let me rephrase...As far as benchmark tests and proven data...what is the best ANDROID (not iPad) tablet for raw power? I do not care about about which company made it or which carrier sells it.

If you phrase your question like that, I think the obvious answer is the ASUS Transformer Prime. In terms of sheer power, the quad-core nVidia Tegra 3 in TF can easily beat any currently available tablets with Tegra 2, Snapdragon S3 or TI OMAP 4. You can do a quick research around to verify this.

I am big fan of all Apple Products. All of its features comes with amazing features. It is always king in its new stunning application. My Suggestion in Android Tablet is Apple iPad 2. Apple's iPad 2 is dramatically thinner and boasts front and rear cameras, FaceTime video chat, a faster processor, and 3G options for both AT&T and Verizon.

With all do respect...I know what the iPad is capable of...if I was interested in the iPad, I would be on an Apple forum...I am interested in Android, hence the fact I am on Android Forums...thanks for the input though...

And here we have the classic example of an iSheep who does not know what he's saying. You my friend make other iOS users look bad.

iPad is not Android, it uses iOS as its operating system. The Galaxy Tab and several other Android tablets are as thin as the iPad, and has better video calling options than FaceTime (which sucks) and the iPad also has a SLOWER processor clockspeed than certain other Android tablets, but in general most are at the same clockspeed.

This guy Steve is either a troll or he is just genuinely misinformed.

As for best ANDROID tablet, hardware per hardware I don't think the Transformer Prime has any competition at the moment.

Personally, I was waiting for the Transformer Prime, but since they won't introduce the 3G version, I won't be buying anything from ASUS soon (though I like them a lot). Btw, I am a big fan of Qualcomm, and I believe the upcoming Snapdragon S4 (with the recent preliminary benchmark from Anandtech) will outperform Tegra 3.

Just got the Transformer Prime yesterday and it is sweet. I've had the HTC Flyer, Nook Color, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. All are good options it just depends on your usage and budget. If you want a 7", I'd look at the Samsung or wait until the new Asus is released. For now, the Transformer Prime is the best tablet on the market. It has great specs and is officially on ICS.

I am new to this also. I am disabled. Computers too complicated. I'm looking for a tablet pc, not pricy just for what I need, that I can play games on. Like download one from an app store and play. Can you do this on a tablet pc? I've read a lot that people say you can't play games on a tablet, is this true? Please help!!!!!!!

Just because of the price the Nexus 7 is best tablet currectly available, you get allot of performance for the money and the IPS screen is very good.

The price increase when considering the high end tablets like the Transformer Prime, Infinity or even the iPad is a complete joke.

BUT, yes there's always a but. The build quality does suffer, reports of creaky glass and glass lifting up is all true so there is a element of luck involved as to how good or bad yours will actually be.

My Nexus 7 has slight glass lifting on the left side of the screen and it is creaky, not enough for a return imo but is does distract from what is otherwise a great little tablet.

My friend has a Nexus 7 and after playing with it I highly recommend it. The 7" screen feels better to hold than a 10 inch in my opinion, and I love the back. Google now is also superb.
