Help Best Back Up Procedure

Hi Y'all.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but I didn't see a thread relating to this.

What is the best back-up procedure, software, apps to use?
I've tried KIES a couple of times, and if i'm perfectly honest, what a load of BS that is. Crashes constantly.

Any pointers greatly received

if you're rooted then titanium backup is a good choice, if you have a custom recovery installed you can backup everything from there as well..

for unrooted , stock; lookout or mybackup are options for you also.

Does Titanium back up everything? So lets play devils advocate and say I mess up S4 beyond all recognition and I want to roll my phone back to 3-4-5 weeks back when I know it was fine and configured the way I was happy with.
Does it allow me to restore to a previous point in time? Or does it only back up apps etc?

Oops....and yeah, I am rooted. Still trying to TRULY get to grips with the whole rooting process. I inderstand everything on the surface, however I want to delve a bit deeper It is for this reason I want an entire back up of my phone
