Best Bluetooth For In-Car Use?

My roomate asked me which Bluetooth headset he could get. I told him to consult AndroidForums. I then realized there wasn't a section where people could talk about accessories in general, which is dumb, since many accessories span a boat load of phone models.

I want to get the most killer in-car bluetooth system possible. I don't want to overpay, but I want the best experience. Maybe that's having something installed in your vehicle or maybe it's just an awesome headset... I don't know. But whatever YOU think it is: suggest it below!
 
A headset type one would work well for sound but would look and probably feel pretty ugly after wearing it for a while. The best one I have used had a little clip on it that popped out just slightly so you could slide it onto the ear and that one by far was the most comfortable to wear for hours. The only downside is that its an older version of bluetooth that does not even work with the PS3.
 
Check out the motorola T505. its a nice little unit. It clips onto the sun visor and either works as a speakerphone directly through it, or can be used as a FM modulator. I hate the little earpieces so I find this to be a really great alternative
 
What works for me is no bluetooth at all- here's what I do; I got an arkon mount for the phone and plug it into the car stereo auxillary port and listen to music from it while using nav. When someone calls and I answer it cuts the music and automatically picks up in speakerphone mode (because headphone plug is guess), and BAM! your caller is coming through your car speakers. Everyone I talk to this way says I sound better than when using a bluetooth earphone, especially with the windows rolled down.

I am new to Motorola Android 2 and I cannot listen to the music on bluetooth. The bluettoth work for the phone calls but not for the musci.
Ihave triedTunewiki,Winamp,droid music player,Pandora and nothing works with bluetooth. Can any shed some light here. I just changed frmo Blackberry.
 
For call quality I find that the Aliph jawbone can't be beat (except by their own next year's model!). I just love the jawbone and have used everything from Motorola, Planetronics, Jabra, Blueant, and almost everything in between. Their newest line (the Icon) is the most comfortable, smallest, and lightest bluetooth I have used. They did away with the ear loop (although you can attach one; it comes packed with the product) and slashed the cost. You can also load different voices and "apps", although I think the apps are kind of gimmicky myself. I have never tried an in-car system, but frankly I don't really care too for the simple reason that I use my bluetooth earpiece around the house as well. It is so convenient to be doing things like cooking, walking the dog, etc. without having to by physically holding the phone. I walk around most of the house without even having the phone on me (generally sits right on my desk) and never lose a connection.

What are you using to listen to the music (what device)? Are you sure it's compatible?
 
If you think you may lean a little towards a headset, I would recommend the Plantronics Voyager Pro Plus. Its $99 but worth the high cost. It has amazing sound quality, you can stream media to it, and people have no idea I am using a headset.

But I definitely will agree with the post earlier about using an aux port in the car. It works amazing!
