I've played Simon Tatham's puzzles (Google Play link) on Linux for a while and they're also available for Android:
"Collection of 34 one-player open-source multi-OS puzzle games."

Very nice collection of one-player brain puzzles, and it's free.

Word Twist is goood. Try it

For me the best is Mouse, it is quite difficult and I spent a lot of time solving puzzles.

I'm a big fan of logic puzzle games. Einstein's Logic is my favourite game at the moment. It is a logic puzzle game based on the process of elimination. The free version is fully playable, but has ad support:

I like too futoshiki and this is the most challenging.

I want to add an only apparently simple puzzle that i didn't know and i discovered searching for sudoku.It is takuzu,only numbers 0 and 1 to fill various formats.It seems very easy but the rules make it extremely challenging (especially large formats).
I also like kakuro but in the market there are very few of them,it's a pity.

I really like Solitaire RPG. The game is more a card game, but the RPG part requires some thinking to be successful.

7x7 is a great puzzle game. It's style of gameplay is new imo, unlike other match 3 games out there.

My fave is Sudoku 10,000 .. just got to puzzle 1000 and lots more to do ! It also has variations of games as well that will drive you crazy, great game
