Best Buy availability

Anybody else having a hard time getting a Note 4 from Best Buy? I have Sprint and am trying to take advantage of the $200 trade in since I didn't pre-order one. I've called a number of local Best Buys and most are only saying that you could place an order for it while others did have it but are all sold out.

I can't imagine the demand is that high considering everybody around here seems to want an iPhone so I would have thought that Best Buy would be able to get some. I need to get one by 11/1 to take advantage of the extended trade in deal.

My local Sprint Store had one but they were only offering me $30 for my Note 2 so I'd really like to get one through Best Buy. Are other people experiencing the same thing?

People are having a hard time everywhere. It appears there is not exactly a lot of supply yet. Samsung has already scaled back timing for some regions.

My guess is the new display tech is a production bottleneck.

You would think from the shortage Best Buy is having on the Note 4 that they sold an extraordinary amount of the phones...but you would be wrong. I called 4 local Best Buy stores. Two brick and mortal stores and two mall stores. All of the stores are saying they they did not get their entire pre-order inventory for launch. One of the stores only received and sold 1 unit and another says they only received 10% of their pre-order supply.

Anyone having luck with Best Buy?

I called the 2 closest Best Buys this morning, (they are all over the place here) and nothing...yet. The one guy told me maybe Friday, the other one said they just don't know and have no estimate.

Or it could be orchestrated. Nothing increases demand like limited supply. Perceived or otherwise.

Agreed, but the supply is too low even for that. Even carriers that launched last week apparently got just a few devices each and most pre orders are yet to be filled. Best Buy included.

Local Best Buys warned only some VZW will be filled this week. Not an issue of high demand, but very low supply. This might be hard to spin that it is demand.

Notice that Samsung is yet to tout pre orders? They usually would already be talking smack about sell in numbers.

Something is amuck with supply. I also think Apple hurt them and the G3 as well. Ironic combo.

Talked with a store rep at my local BestBuy (which is fairly good size) the other day and he related that they're only scheduled to receive 16 Verizon N4's tomorrow, but have 30 prepaid orders. I'm not sure what colors are coming in or how those prepaid orders play into that, but it would appear that even those who prepaid might come up short.

I'm just glad I prepaid through Verizon and my N4's on a FedEx truck on the way to my house for delivery sometime today.

I just got a call from Best Buy to pick my VZW N4 up, but holding off due to no root.

For tomorrow.

I bit the bullet and just bought one from Sprint. They only gave me $84 for my Note 2 but it got to the point where I was calling about 5 different Best Buys each day and by the time I eventually got one I probably would have wasted a few hours if not more on tracking one down. I'll just claim that my time is worth more than that :)

Still getting familiar with my new Note 4. It is quite different from my old Note 2.

I received the same email today. Best Buy isn't messing around; pick up the phone tomorrow or the pre-order is cancelled!!

I pre ordered with at&t through best buy and was luckily one of the 4 that got their phone on launch day oct 17th... out of 100 pre orders! They didnt even have any for general release, and this lack of cases ordeal is killing me. The phone is great though.

Best buy offers the best deals on trade ins.. so everyone wants to get it through bestbuy... i used the 200 trade in promotion for any working smart phone and traded in my iphone 5 for 225, i basically was paid 125 to get the phone :] its deals like this that make best buy a little harder to get them at .

I got 2 nice cases common Amazon. Now only if I had a phone to put in them. :)

I'm going to trade in my old phone to Best Buy today for my VZW Note4. They give me 14 days to try it out. Anyone know what happens if I change my mind? What happens with my old phone I trade in? What would I get instead of the phone assuming it is no longer available if I return the Note4? Anyone know how this works?

I'm guessing you get to enjoy your BB gift card, as your trade-in will most likely be long gone.

No luck here. I didn't pre-order, as the last time I did this with BB I had to wait LONGER than if I hadn't... looks like even those who did probably don't have their phones!!! I am doing the Buy Back Plus so I have to get it in a BB store. VERY FRUSTRATING! Now online it says they are Sold Out and not available in any store in my state (MN).

I did the pre-order 5 days ago (Saturday) to take advantage of their $200 trade-in offer. Got my email last night saying I had 48 hours (Thurs or Fri) to pick it up or the pre-order would be cancelled. Just back from picking it up. Everything went flawlessly - the phone was there, they took my old Droid X in trade and I'm now settling in to play around with the new phone. Hope your BB gets the phone you want, soon!

That would be my guess, too. As my clerk was waiting for my contacts to switch over, she was boxing up the old Droid X I traded in. I asked what they did with the trade-ins and she said that a phone as old as mine would likely just be used for parts.

I kept the phone I was actually using and will give to my BF to use.

I can't believe it, I just walked into the Best Buy and they have Note 4 for Verizon in stock...black only.

I'm going to trade in my s3 what all do they need? The phone and battery of course. What about the SIM card and charger, or do I get to keep those?
