Best Buy doesn't have it, doesn't know when they'll get it

I called Best Buy today to see if they had the HD and or HD Maxx and they told me they don't have it and don't know when they'll get it. I hope they hurry up, I bought my RAZR M from them and want to switch to the Maxx HD.

I went to a Corporate store and they had them. However, I went to a VZ authorized dealer and it seemed like they didn't even know the thing was launched today. They said they might get some in tomorrow, but I question there knowledge (and competence).

TE=red66charger;5097724]Wow. How anti-climactic. Very strange how little buzz there has been for RAZR HD.[/QUOTE]

I was thinking the same thing, kind of disappointing really.

The best buy here says they still don't know anything

Try your corporate store. Mine had it the day before launch, although they weren't able to sell them. Had a whole booth dedicated to it actually. They'll know when it's coming.

Ya I like going to buy my phones at best buy but ended up at my local corporate verizon store for my phone

Best buy near me only had 3 RAZR hd's and no maxx's so I had to go to a corporate store. I was the first to get it at that location and it was 2:30 lol

Android phones don't generate the excitement and pre-sale publicity that the iPhones do. New iPhones are released once a year and many iPhone users want to upgrade as soon as they're released. That's why you'll see sales figures quoting millions of phones sold on the first weekend. But when it comes to Android phones, there is a new Android phone release almost every month or so and as such there isn't the pent up demand for the latest phone. Because many Android customers just bought a new phone withing the last 3 to 6 months.

If you had asked my wife or one of my kids last Wednesday if they knew when the next Android phone was going to be released, I'm sure I would have gotten 3 "deer-in-the-headlights" stares.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get my new Maxx HD and a couple iPhone 5's in the next week or so. :smokingsomb:

I agree with everything you say, but Moto could have said a couple of days or a week before the release, "Hey everybody, Razr HD and Razr HD Maxx are coming out on the 18th! Get ready! Woot woot!". Instead, on the 18th, if you checked the Android forum or Android news site you usually frequent, then you knew it was coming out. If not, well....

That's something I've noticed with Moto. They just release phones without giving anyone a heads up. They don't hype up their releases at all. It just makes no sense to me. I was considering getting the Maxx, but I had no idea when it was coming out, so I went with another phone. Then, literally about one week later, the Maxx came out. Thanks for the heads up Moto! Looks like I will just wait until spring to get a new phone.

True. It would be nice if Motorola or Verizon would just say something about the next phone is coming in quarter 2 or quarter 3. That's a 3 month window. It's not like we're asking for an exact release date. As it is, almost all info is leaked "from a trusted source" or the like.

I know many people were "ticked" about the way the Razr Maxx release was handled.

How many of you have signed up on the Verizon or Motorola website to be the first to be notified regarding news about some phone that;s in the pipeline. Then you get an email 4 or 5 days after the release informing you about the phone just purchased?

I'm still trying to get to my Corp Verizon store to get my next phone, the Razr Maxx HD. :smokingsomb:
