Best call recording app for S3?!?!?

Jaxx89

Newbie
I'm about to buy an S3. The main function that I want is to record calls.
And I mean record both the parties, incoming/outgoing calls and don't want to use the loudspeaker so that everyone else can hear my conversation.

I had total recall on my previous phone working fine(also Ultimate voice recorder)[it was a symbian]

As far as I've seen till now, call recording on Android seems to be kinda difficult.
And there are many apps on the Play store like Call Recorder, Record my Call, Auto Call recorder, etc...

Is it even possible to record calls on Android???

S3 users please suggest a good call recording app please.
Thanks.

There's an inbuilt one. While in a call, just press the home key, go to the voice record app and start recording. It works on my Galaxy S, so I'd doubt they removed that functionality.

Well total recall seems to do the job.
Tested the trial version and works both ways no need to use speakerphone and no beeps.
Used the Total Recall S2 version as they have updated it for S3 as well.

well I really NEED a call recorder and I don't really mind paying for it
yeah the only problem is that in the playback our own voice is quite low else it works fine

try acr call recorder. designed specifically for the S3 since that is what he has

does NOT work on my S3 but I believe that is due to me running the leaked LIH Jelly Bean rom.

try it and let us know if it works on the stock ICS rom.

No, it only records the other party's voice and will not output in mp4 at all. I have Galaxy S3 with AT&T ice cream

Search for "ng call recorder" at google Play stor

it is a Free App !!!!!!
This app works, but barely. It automatically turns speaker on and cannot turn off. Sound quality is very poor and will not record with default settings. Must use MP4 or 3GP format. Ads are very annoying and frequently attempt to start browser. This app needs lots of work to be of practical use.

This one doesn't work either. I got it to record but only the other party's voice. Then the app crashed. I rebooted and now it doesn't record at all. I am uninstalling and still searching for a call recording app that actually works on Galaxy S3.

I like:

AndroRec is a very light weight yet powerful call recorder for android phones that records all your incoming and out going calls automatically to your SD card (External Storage).

Features :
• Absolutely free and ad free
• Records all incoming and outgoing calls
• Option to enable/disable call recording
• No time limit for recording
• Log of all the recorded calls can be viewed from the application. You can play or delete or archive recordings from the application itself
• Log shows the contact number/name, exact date time as well as duration of your call making it easy to track all your calls from the application

Sorry, no opinion on InCall. Tried Androrec, it worked just as I wanted and it was free, so I stopped looking. It just records in the background, making files of every conversation on my SD in case I need them someday.

After spending countless hours trying to find one that works on Verizon's S3... this one does!! And if anyone needs help with the set up let me know... it took some tinkering with to get the settings right.. but it does work! call sound from other end is pretty impressive, maybe I just don't have anything to compare it to... lol... but even on the lowest call volume I could hear other side just fine! Enjoy!! :-)
