Wow Nova prime even hides the status bar too! Now if I can figure out why widgetlocker fails to get root permissions so I can hide it there, too. It won't display the permission request for some reason but other apps work fine.

Not sure in your case, but on my unrooted devices, under Widget Locker>look and feel, there is an option to hide notification bar

I just removed status bar.apk so no more problem

Surprised SS Launcher hasn't been mentioned yet. Most customizable IMO. Pretty much any look you want to create, and smooth. All I've used for a year now.
