Best day ever?

What was your best day ever?
When, where, and why?

Mine was sometime between July and September of 1999. At this time I was living in Seattle, Washington. There was a beach (can't remember the name) but we saw seals and I think even dolphins? My mom claims we swam with them but I don't remember that. We had eaten at this amazing restaurant and went back, and we went into this really old lighthouse.

Ever since then I have been in love with lighthouses. :)

Anyone else like to share?

Hands down, the day my daughter was born. Nothing else even comes close. :D

That sounds lovely.

My mom loved lighthouses--she has several, including a 3-foot tall one next to the pond. :)

I would love to have a lighthouse if I had a pond. :) It was rather lovely, there just isn't much peaceful things such as that day anymore. But one day I will ask my mother where it was if she remembers.. Maybe I can take my future children. Lucky, I almost had one but my ex had a miscarriage. I've always wanted a child of my own.

it's a tie. The day my divorce from my ex wife was final and the day my current wife and i married....jk lol

The day my current wife and I married. 5/5/12 :)

Honestly, the day I married my wife was the best single day of my life. I still can't believe I got to marry her!

I would say the day my son was born, but that was just the scariest day of my life.

Graduating from college after having to drop out four times before. Not because of grades but because I couldn't manage the time. My secret was divorcing my cheating ex-wife.

I have so many I could not choose one single day.
The birth of my daughter, and my wedding to her father are just two of them.

The day my doorbell rang, I opened it and I finally got kissed by my neighbour :p
And... the day we married.

From personal experience, I'd like to suggest making "one day" sooner rather than later. For one thing, memory fades the more time that goes by, plus...well, we never really know when it'll be too late. :(

You're young, it'll happen when it's the right time. Having a child is a huge commitment, but there's really nothing else like it. (Don't tell my four-legged kids, okay? They THINK they're as special as my daughter. Oh, wait...I treat them like they are.)

Yeah I can see that. It was sad. You may think I'm crazy, but my child would have been 3. Now I always thought I would have had a girl. Well I had a weird dream a few weeks back (after taking my prescribed pain killers to soon before sleep) I saw a little 3 year old girl, and she had my hair and some facial features but had my exes eyes. I believe she had visited me. :)

No, not at all. In fact, I was younger than you are when I had my daughter. And it was the absolute BEST thing that could've ever happened, because not long afterward I had a near-fatal illness that required removing my reproductive organs. So if I hadn't had her when I did...she wouldn't exist. :(

Same here! I knew all my life that I would have a girl--so much so that when I was pregnant I didn't even bother thinking up boys' names. I left that to my husband, but I knew it wouldn't be necessary. :D

I agree. I think she did, too. Maybe she's giving you a heads-up for things to come? :)

Wow. It's a good thing you had her! :) I kind of hope not. I mean definitely after college. :p

I saw both of my sons before I had them...even before I met my husband...It was so real I told all my friends because I knew exactly what they looked like..my house...my husband would look like
before I met him...(and he's not my type..he's a nerd:) but he is my type now!:)))
guess he
was all along...

but anywho.... about 1 year later.....it all slowly started to come true...exactly what I already saw....

so ...It's not crazy at all!!!!
maybe ...a daughter is in your life's plan:)

I hope so. Raising a daughter is what I would want but a son would do too. :p

Well, since I have nieces and nephews from all age brackets (from infants to adults), I know what kids are capable of.

And because of that among other reasons, I don't see myself having a child of my own. Not in this lifetime anyway.
