I love k9. I'm pretty sure k9 receives push notifications by gmail if it's setup for imap?
I doubt this is the answer you're looking for but I can with my Exchange account. Also is there a way to create calendar invites from any other email than gmail?

I have two accounts setup in k9 and it lets you choose what account you want to email from, specify reply-tos, etc etc.
I'm not sure about your question #2. Sorry! Only dislike about k9 is the interface. Reminds me a lot of the blackberry interface. Bland, yet effective!

On the "Accounts" page (the one that lists all your email accounts, not the "Unified Inbox") select the account you wish to send from (Gmail for instance) and when the Google mail inbox is open select Menu > Compose.Hmmm thanks K9 is bland but one thing I truly dislike is that you cannot, at time of creation, pick the account from which you are sending mail...

You can also change the sender to each message. Compose a new message, press Menu, then Send As, then pick the account from which you wish to send.
Not sure exactly how you are using labels, but for my purposes, I set labels in K9 by moving the message in the corresponding folder. There are a few things you don't get in gMail if you use K9, such as the ability to set labels and you don't get threaded conversations.

K9 just treats the labels as folders and that works fine for me. Pretty much the same way thunderbird works on the desktop.
