Best extended battery for Wildfire S?

Hiya, I'm thinking about getting an extended life battery for my Wildfire S as sometimes I have the GPS running for hours on end and it kills the battery.

I've seen quite a few 3500mAh batteries for sale on ebay and the like, but am suspicious that they are over-rated - has anyone actually tried one?

I do also have a portable power pack, but it's just a bit bulky to carry around.

I bought one of those and it is fine except it comes with a different back to make room for the battery and it's hard slippery plastic and not so pleasant to hold.

But if you need the extra capacity it would be a small disadvantage.
