ebuddy also has it and i havent tried the aim app in a while, ebuddy doesnt eat your battery like aim and the Hi*insert social networkhere* apps

SocialScope Lite is the best out there. It has fantastic UI and it combines Facebook and Twitter in one single app. But you have to get an invitation to get it. It took me only 2 months after I submitted my request. You should try it.

The Vonage app for Facebook has facebook chat on it.

I only use the official Facebook app. I don't trust 3rd party developers with my Facebook login information and private Facebook info.

I'm probably overly paranoid about my data, but better safe than sorry. I also don't trust 3rd party developers with my gmail login info either, so I don't use 3rd party RSS apps.
