Virus in TC?? First time i hear of that and i seriously doubt that. An application which such a good reputation, more than strange. No reports in the developer forum at all.
And yes, its not yet available in the market, still beta, but excellent over all.
 
My HTC Desire reports that it's low on memory, mening its internal memory (only 13 MB left), while I have plenty of room on the SD card (14GB available). I've already moved as much as possible to the SD card, so now I need to know which app (and whatever) to remove from internal storage. Thus, I need a file manager that allows me to see and manage what is stored internally, not on the SD card. I've looked at the two top ones here (Astro and ES) and they both seem to focus on managing what's on the SD card. But I cannot seem to get it to show me the internal storage only. Any ideas?
 
Have a look at 'Quick App Manager'.
It'll show you that what you wanted :)

i downloaded ES file manager after reading this thread, looks like an improvement over the Linda File manager sofar(just started using it)
 
I have flipped back and forth between Astro and ES Explorer. (I originally voted for Astro in this poll).

I prefer Astro's app back up (just a bit easier to use) and I can open .csv (excel) files in Astro (ES only recognizes .csv files as text which requires me to log out of ES and go to Thinkfree to open a .csv file.)

However, after running Power Tutor, I found that Astro can be a bit of a power drain compared to ES. I think once you open Astro, it connects to wifi for the ads and keeps the wifi connection open even after you close Astro. Based upon Power Tutor, Astro uses 10x the power of ES when this happens. So for now I am using ES.

(I run Android 2.1)
 
I have used Astro and Es File Explorer. Es File Explorer is my choice. I like the colors and customization of the background. The clean look and how easy it is to view and move files around. Much better UI.
 
ES is my preference because it allows me to browse network shares as if I were using a PC. Swipe to the right and I am in my PC folders. Excellent feature.
 
i like Astro but does anyone know of a file explorer app that will let you hide a given file or folder? i'd like to hide they system and app folders like LOST.DIR etc. from the explorer app on my SD card. i don't want to muddle through them.
 
I guess MKC file manager ( and MKC HD) is my favourite and belongs to the best file managers for Android devices. It has all features i need and lot also i like the possibility to customize almost everything
 
Estrongs by a mile. However its still not perfect. It still struggles to deal with Zips and Rars like Astro does, but its better than astro in every other way. Plus its got too much bloat.
 
Dropbox is one of the best file manager. You can drag and drop files, synch them. You can download it free from the play store.

Dropbox is more of a folder cloud storage and not a file manager. You can access the Dropbox folder only with dropbox. You can't really manage your other folders on the SD card or internal memory.
