best free task manager available??

i am using android tast manager and after a while, the ram gets down to mid 50M. though i configure it to run every 30 seconds, still i can't say it really kills processes that i do not use or need.

anyone has better experience with other free task killer app?? please share your thoughts...

Don't use a task-killer, they make it worse (search site for explanation)

If you're rooted try V6 Supercharger from XDA, its a memory manager that boosts performance.

i do not have a rooted phone, so what are my options?

i just read this interesting posting. they suggest not to run any apps to manage/kill apps..simply just let android does it own thing. anyone cares to comment on this?

Android is based on Linux which manages memory pretty well, like I said killers make it worse.
