Root Best free WiFi app?

I'm looking to find the best free WiFi app for a rooted Charge. If there is a great app that costs a few bucks, I will consider that as well, but I might as well just keep it free. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I use Open Garden WiFi. It's free and very good. Barnacle is also good and free as well.

I have tried both of those and I couldn't get either to work. I could only get free tether to work. Yes I am rooted before you ask.

Hmm, interesting. What is this app free tether that you speak of? I couldn't find it in the market.

I would invest the $4.99 and get the wifi tether app on the market. It's the best one out there, is an AP instead of ad-hoc, and doesnt require root.
*it doesnt work on Gingerbread yet though

I am looking for a good wifi app also. I have the bionic and I want to connect to the wifi at my work but I have had to install the Equifax Secure Certificate and I still cannot get it to connect. entered the user name and pw correct but still nothing.

So if anyone knows of a good app that can configure the wifi settings please let me know.

Android Wifi Tether. It's free and it works great. It's not on the market so you'll have to Side-Load it. Yes, it works on Gingerbread too.

Normally on the Droid Charge the app won't work in Wifi Infrastructure Mode and only in AdHoc Mode but if you go into the app's settings and change the Device Profile to Samsung Fascinate you can then run it in Wifi Infrastructure Mode so you can connect multiple devices to it with a common SSID.
