Best Keyboard App?

I'm finally ready to cave for a new keyboard app. In both upright and landscape, I keep hitting V instead of the SPACE bard on the stock android keyboard.

Anyone have any suggestions for good keyboard apps for a screen like the DX2's?

Thanks!

I use FlexT9 Text Input and it works great for me. You can swipe, text regular, or draw your letters and the voice input works good too.
Also, you can use KM Launcher if you want an app to swap between different keyboards in portrait/landscape modes.

I just froze the preinstalled Swype and install the new version of the Beta and it is awesome! I've been using Keyboard Manager so I have Swype in portrait and the GB keyboard in landscape, which I think is the ideal setup, but, with the changes they've made to Swype, I might make Swype my sole keyboard.

Where do you download the new Swype?

keyboards are pretty subjective. personally, i still use swiftkey. never got the hang of swype...

I use "Better Keyboard 8".. Love the fact its totally skinnable and there are a ton of skins for it.. So far I have found it to be a tad more accurate then stock keyboard.. Tho with my hamhock fingers i can flub typing on it very easily.

And here I thought I was the only one who could never quite master "Swyping". I do have SwiftKey X Beta and I've gotten to the point where some sentences can half write themselves.

I've tried all of the above keyboards and Smart Keyboard Pro is the absolute best. There is a free version available to try. Tons of options, very fast, great word prediction

I'm part of the Swype Beta, so I just froze the pre-installed one and downloaded the new Beta version.

I'm part of the Swype Beta too, but I am not rooted, therefore cannot freeze the preinstalled Swype...

Is there another way I could use the new Beta version without rooting?

I am using SwiftKey X Beta... do I buy Swiftkey now or wait till the beta is released and buy that instead?

FlexT9 for me. The voice recognition is very good. The text prediction may need a little work but I'm hoping it'll improve with additional use.

Response to my own forum. I tried swiftkey for a few days and just... could not handle it. The auto-guess area on top of the keyboard is way too big, so the letters are way to small, even on my 4.3 in screen.

Tried the new Gingerbread keyboard app. The spacebar is way too small. I missed it just about every time I went for it. Went to return it and missed my 15 minute deadline.

Then upgraded to swiftkey x... this thing is awesome. You wouldn't think the layout of all the keys pressed together would work. But it really does for some reason! It's like holding a regular text phone, like the LG enV. I changed from Handcent to GoSMS, and my texting life has already improved substantially since yesterday.

My suggestion as of today (might change again, but as of today): Swiftkey X.

+1 for Smart Keyboard Pro. I bought it simply because I was hitting they keys on the side of the spacebar on the stock keyboard (mostly the period) and it was annoying the crap out of me. SKP comes with skins that have a longer space bar and made all the difference in the world to me. Been using it since I got my X1. The Galaxy skin matches the new Blur on the X2 pretty well.
