Hey, I'm using the stock keyboard . Yet I would love to try swype but they closed beta . So what other keyboard are u guyz using?

Honestly, I think BlindType will be well worth the wait. Look it up on YouTube, it looks amazing.

Whoa...BlindType looks interesting indeed, though I must admit I was left somewhat befuddled by the videos. Any idea when this is supposed to hit the market? Then again, it might just end up making me a worse typist than I already am! :o

Swype is the *only* way I text. It is still available on the web just Google it. If I didn't use Swype, I would still be using my stock keyboard as I found it easy to use.

Try Shapewriter. Download, Copy to root of SD card, Access it using Astro file manager (or any other file manager) and install

Go to settings, Keyboards, Activate shapewriter. All done

Link: Download ShapeWriter APK | Rough Book

Weird I did exactly as you said. But when i go to internet i still see same keyboard.

Like i downloaded it to my root sd, used astro to install, then went to settings keyboard put the checkmark beside it and it doesnt show up at all when i go into apps like browser, email etc

blind type looks nice

I really like Ultra Keyboard. There are plenty of user settings so you can customize the look and feel of it to your liking.

The developer recently added tracing which is essentially the same as the other swipe apps. I can't comment on how good the swipe mode is compaired to the other swipe apps since I prefer to type instead of sliding my fingers around.

I will say the developer has been really responsive to feedback and has been working hard to make changes and squash bugs. So if you do get it and have problems or requests make sure to email them.

I used to like the Sense Keyboard the best and I still use it when i want to type with 1 thumb. But when using 2 thumbs I go for Smart Keyboard Pro without text predicting. Super fast, multitouch, gestures and featuring Android, HTC, iPhone, Grey & Black skin.

Smart Keyboard for Android

Coming from an iPhone all of the Android spacebars were really short and.every.sentence.would.end.up.like.this.

Smart Keyboard Pro saved my life!

Allows me to remove the voice button too which was replaced by the comma.

once you have completed those steps go into an app like sms..... and LONG press in the test box, you will get a pop up saying "input method" at this point you will get to choose which keyboard you want to use

+1 Smart Keyboard PRO. Checked it out after a couple guys recommended it and it truly is a nice keyboard. Prior to it, I used the Droid X stock multi-touch keyboard and Smart Keyboard PRO is equal if not better, compared to it.

SlideIt ROCKS!! The speech to text function is surprisingly accurate and is definitely faster than anything else I tried. The swype function works great too :)

Well, I am using Saitek Eclipse keyboard. It most popular keyboard right now. This keyboard features its own backlight for increased visibility during late hours.
