Anyone load up this leaked .apk from GOOGLE?
I didn't think it would load up unless I was rooted, but, it did,& loaded up over the ANDROID 4.1.1 stock keyboard.Only reason I tried it out was to test the swipe/gesture typing.
It seems accurate enough, but,I'm not a big fan of SWYPE-STYLE keyboards, so,it's back to SWIFTKEY 3 for me.
BTW,as I stated previously, this copies over the stock ANDROID 4.1.1 keyboard, so,if remaining stock is a concern in fear of not receiving future updates, then you may want to skip this until it is officially available.
I myself am just going to re-flash the SPRINT JELLY BEAN upgrade ,which will restore my phone back to stock.
EDIT:
This .apk(ANDROID 4.2 KEYBOARD) side loads just like any other user application & does not overwrite any other applications.
ie: SWIFTKEY 3, SWYPE, etc....
Sorry for the misinformation, no harm in leaving this application loaded up, in regards to affecting the status of a clean stock/unrooted O/S.
