Sprint = Free lol. for now. only one left and CEO just said it might change if it gets crazy
I read today that they're already thinking of capping 4G. Didn't take long, did it?

I just bought a BT dongle off eBay for like $5 shipped but for whatever reason, I cannot get the PDA Net BT Dun option to work at all.Yep...that will work. You should be able to find one of those micro Bluetooth adapters for $10-$20 just about anywhere.

Just beware...there's no such thing as "unlimited" data. If you go over 5GB/month it's entirely likely you'll be hearing from T-Mobile. Don't go watching YouTube all day every day with your phone, tethered or not.

At any rate, after reading this thread I think I will pay the $9.99 and keep tethering as I have been.
I've been using easytether lite, which just expired. I loved it until it did that.At any rate, after reading this thread I think I will pay the $9.99 and keep tethering as I have been.
Side note: I don't know if they charge you extra or not, but I had been tethering with my friends BB, also through t-mobile, and he was rate limited by them.
He got a text stating... and I quote -
"Free T-Mobile msg: Your usage has reached the data threshold for your rate plan this month. Your speed has been reduced for the rest of this billing period."
As for further charges, like I said before we're not sure if there are any, but they did limit him, his tether is now even slower than dial-up... ew!![]()
Anyone else notice this?EasyTether consistently gave me faster upload/download speeds. Don't know if it's just me or if EasyTether has a more efficient data transfer mechanism??

my sprint EPIC has this feature but since I didn't turn it on, it doesn't work - so perhaps you do have a feature that some of us don't!OK, well I guess I'll find out when my next bill comes! I only used the Wifi Hotspot thing for about sixty seconds out of curiousity to see if it worked. I'm on Vodafone by the way, with an "unlimited" (aka 0.5 GB per month) data plan. I'm curious to know how the phone company could tell whether the data it sent me was viewed on my phone or whether it got passed on via wifi to a laptop??
