best offline Spanich Dict or Translator?

Keyword being offline. I'm going to South America and as you may know there's no Verizon network there. So far I've found an offline Oxford Spanish Dictionary for 24.99. Alot of other translator apps don't say weather their offline or online only. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated. I leave soon and want to get my new Droid in order. (Love this phone!)

I have been looking an offline dictionary also with little success.

The Stardict is free and not bad but is restricted.

The Oxford at 25 pounds is pricey. I would be happy to buy it if I knew it was good, but the feedback so far is limited.

The Collins is a possibility but has terrible reviews.

I would also consider a native Spanish-Spanish dictionary but can't find one that works offline.

If anybody has bought a spanish dictionary I would be very interested to hear about it.
 
Any update on this? I just need a good, basic dictionary that I can use offline when traveling. I am already pretty fluent. There would just be individual words to look up here and there for me.
 
I was looking for an offline dictionary a while back. The only one I found was ColorDict with the spanish-english dictionary that you install separately. It's ok but is pretty basic, for instance it lacks gender of nouns(!). You can install other StarDict format dictionaries from the web, but I haven't yet found a really good spanish-english one.

Give it a go.
