Root Best overclocking app for X.

Newbie
I do tons of ocing with Pcs. Never have tried it on my droid. Droid overclock looks pretty sweet what do you guys recommend?
 
Moved to Root sections because you have to be rooted to run OC. Plus you will hopefully get better responses there

I currently run mine at ultra low volt at stock clock speeds. I have before ran my phone at 1.15 GHz on ultra low volt as well. But usage will vary between phones. You can check out quickclock in the market and it will help you determine the optimal settings for this. Be sure to read the read-me included with it though :D

High voltage is safe but battery will be gone faster. My first DX (did a warranty replacement due to the power button) would only OC to 1.15. 1.2 would bog it down. Now I can go up to 1.4 on this 'new' one :eek:

TBH though increasing the voltage class probably still won't let your phone go to 1.2
 
I went with the milestone oc and it worked pretty well until i got on to .595, then it became unstable.
 
I would calibrate with Quick Clock Advanced to get the settings for your particular phone (saves a lot of time and guesswork).

I did calibrate with quick clock advanced. Said max was 1214Mhz on my cpu. But when I set that the phone all but locks up ...

Are you just using quick clock for testing and the using X overclock?
