This is correct, this is going to be the best plan for your Galaxy Note. Although, going with T-Mobile will limit you to Edge networks. Since it doesn't have the 1700 band required for T-Mobile 3G/4G.

If you wanted 3G speeds you can go with Straight Talk. It will set you back $45 every month, although that includes unlimited talk, text, and data. (The term "unlimited" is used very loosely here, since most carriers will throttle your data after a certain limit.)

Welcome | Straight Talk

They also have a $30 plan which includes 1000 minutes, 1000 texts, and a small 30mb of data.

You will have to purchase a SIM card compatible with the network you decide to use. With Straight Talk the SIM will cost you around $15.

you can put the T-Mobile sim into your note

but i was trying to give him the best bang for his buck good carrier for a great phone with a cheap bill

Hey thanks for the info! ! One more thing is 3g fast enough to call with skype video?

Sprint and Verizon have 4G... WiMAX and LTE respectively. And AT&T has something, but I honestly don't know. I know it was different from everyone (HSPA or something like that), but they might be LTE now too....

Seppe, your Galaxy Note won't have the same LTE radio that Verizon's LTE network uses. Sprint and Verizon are both CDMA carriers and don't use SIM cards.
